Hi – My name is Derek and I am a cuddly, lovable, long haired tuxedo Boy! Thank you for visiting me – PLEASE READ MY STORY…

When I was about 5 months old,  I was dropped off at a Town Shelter because my family who adopted me at 6 weeks old – just had a baby and decided that they didn’t want any pets any longer – I guess they were done with me.  I sat in a small metal cage without a bed, blanket or toys for over 3 months, and I am a 9 month old kitten – and had nothing or no one to play with.  Fortunately Last Hope came in and rescued about 10 of us from the shelter – as the shelter was full and our time was almost up.

So for a few weeks I have been at the Last Hope Cat Center and I have had a ball playing with other cats, oh, I just love them – and I love the attention the volunteers are giving me – I can just be cuddled all day.   Jason (in the next cage) and I were cage buddies at the center – and we really love each other.  We were both rescued at the same time from the Town, but we didn’t know each other – we each had our own cold, empty metal cage – how sad is that…if we were together, at least we would have had each other to play with and cuddle…but we weren’t.

I have a clean bill of health – all my routine cat medical needs have been met and of course, I have been neutered.

BUT NOW, I REALLY REALLY REALLY NEED A LOVING HOME – WITH A COZY PLACE TO SLEEP AND TOYS AND A FAMILY TO PET ME AND TALK TO ME AND LET ME LOVE THEM BACK!

I AM A LOVING KITTEN AND I NEED TO RUN AND PLAY AND ENJOY MY KITTENHOOD.

Although I really had a good time at the cat center, I know to  really get the exposure and the best chance to get a great family and home, I have to be in this cage for everyone to visit me.

I shouldn’t have to worry anymore – my life has been saved and I am safe and warm – right?  Nope – now kitten season is approaching, and everyone wants that baby kitten…so I hope I don’t continue to get passed by.  Remember, I am a kitten myself – but my personality is established and you basically know it when you adopt me…I promise I will leave pawprints on your heart!! I will only get better.

Can I bring that magic into your home and cuddle with you during these long cold winter days – can you make it come true???
