Ken – ADOPTED!

Hi – I’m Ken and I am 8 months old – friendly loveable and outgoing – and I really, really need a family!

Here is my story…

When we were about 3 months old – just at the start of this winter, my sister Barbie and I,  were dumped (as baby kittens) by a feral colony in a town park.  Feral Colonies do not accept new cats, and we were so scared and tiny – so we just hid nearby cuddled together, hoping we may somehow get some crumbs of their food.  Someone who feeds the feral colony saw us, and was able to pick us up immediately and she took us to the Town Shelter.  She knew we were not feral and/or part of this colony, and we were too young to survive with winter coming. We were getting sick and we were so hungry – so they nursed us back to health and took care of all of our medical needs.  We have been tested, wormed, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered – all our medical needs that can be done for the first 8 months of a kitten’s life.

Last Hope Animal Rescue frequents the Town Shelters and rescues as many cats and they can – as we all know their fate is inevitable.  Kitten season is quickly approaching – and unless we get adopted soon – those kittens just get all the attention…and we are really young kittens ourselves!

Both of us are very loving cats – but Barbie is a bit shy and it is difficult getting adopted as a pair – so Barbie is back at our cat center trying to get a home of her own, and since I am a bit more outgoing – I came here to find a loving warm family of my own.  I love to be held and I just purr with appreciation.  In the best of families – siblings have to go their own way – and we do love each other – but know our chances of each of us are better if we are separated – but of course; if we get adopted together, that would be a double blessing.  We need to run and play and be ourselves and enjoy our kitten hood as we should.

So – is there room in your heart and home for me?   I could sit in the window and welcome in Spring while watching the world come alive outside! I promise you – I will warm your heart and leave paw prints on it forever!

Purr-fectly yours,

Ken
