Dear Volunteers, friends, and supporters:

After two years of negotiations, I am most happy to report that LAST HOPE ANIMAL RESCUE is now going to be operating a full fledged dog and cat shelter in Wantagh. As of April 1st, LAST HOPE will be leasing the first floor of the old Bideawee shelter.

We will be moving our dogs out first and expanding our cat adoption program south. All existing store adoption programs and the cat adoption center will stay as they are.

Commencing this Saturday, March 5th, we will be holding meetings to organize this move and to coordinate and outline the work we need to do to get the shelter ready for us. Bideawee is giving us access to the facility as of March 15th so we can commence cleaning and painting, etc.

All hands and minds are asked to join us in this exciting chapter in LAST HOPE’s ongoing history. I will let you know the time and place for our first meeting by the end of the week as soon as everything is finalized. After that we will be able to meet at Bideawee.

I want to thank everyone who has worked with me along the way; we would not be moving into Bideawee if you had not dedicated your time and efforts to our organization.
