Hi – my name is Madeline I am about 2 1/2 years old and am a very soft, cuddly, deliciously friendly lap cat!
Thank you for visiting me – I LOVE COMPANY! A few months ago, I was abandoned on a residential street – with my collar on (no tags) and in the freezing cold winter. This is when I was thankful that I have a full fur coat of my own!!! Whoever dumped me must have known there were cat lovers and Last Hope volunteers on that street – because that is just too much of a coincidence. Anyway – I was looking for food and shelter – and went into a shed in someone’s backyard – and somehow got locked in. It was terrible – I was starving and cold and couldn’t get out of the shed. I meowed and meowed and finally someone heard me and opened the door.
There I was skinny, starving and freezing – but so thankful to be found. Because she was a cat lover – she immediately picked me up and held me and brought me in and fed me. By the look of me and how skinny I was, they guessed that I probably was in the shed 7-10 days. I couldn’t have lasted even a few more days. The hair around my collar was so matted that they had to cut the collar out – I was neglected and THEN dumped – can you imagine!
So – my “foster” mom fattened me up, loved me to death, took me to be tested, wormed, vaccinated and spayed. I have a clean bill of health. She had so many other family cats, so I really could not stay there. However, I LOVED being with other cats – we had lots of fun together!
So, here I am and thank you for visiting me. I am considered a muted tortie – with all the unusual colors on my face and body. It is possible I even have some Maine Coon in me) But as unique as I am – I am still waiting for a warm wonderful family to adopt me. Kitten season is approaching and I dread that I will be overlooked for a small cuter kitten. But at this age – you know what my personality is – so what you see is what you get… you never know that in advance with very young kittens.
I am such an easy going lady – and I love other cats as well. If you just ask to pet me or hold me, you will see for yourself what a mush I really am.
I am so young – and I have so much life in me and need to run and play and act like an older kitten – and have had a difficult life already…and all I want is to be loved. Would you give me a chance – you won’t be disappointed…that I can absolutely promise you – you will have my paw prints on your heart forever!
Gratefully yours,
Madeline
