Hi – my name is DELILAH

I am a young adult lady and also Super affectionate who is also DECLAWED so when my sister and I were baby kittens, we were adopted by a young couple – who decided after the adoption that we should be declawed…and took both of us immediately to the vet to have this procedure done.  Fortunately, it was successful – because we know many of them are not and the cats are in pain forever.

Our “Mom” and “Dad” wanted this because they never had cats before and knew they would be starting a family soon – and didn’t know how to integrate cats and babies – they were nervous!

So three years later – they had their first baby – and, after having us declawed and loving us for over 3 years – they decided they don’t have time for and pets – so they dropped us off at the local shelter, after telling them this entire story.

We sat at the shelter for almost a year – but the Town employees loved us so much that they kept asking Last Hope to rescue us from there and help get us loving homes.

Finally, there was room for us as Last Hope – and now there is light at the end of the tunnel.

My sister got adopted immediately – everyone was so sad that there wasn’t enough room for us to be adopted together.

But, I heard Pet Supplies “Plus” in East Northport is the “HOT” place to be – and my chances of being adopted quickly are great.  This is a happy temporary home for me –the employees pay lots of attention to me and I have birds and fish to watch all the time.  But I still need to run and play and be held and loved and give all my love back to a wonderful warm family.  My nights are lonely – no one to cuddle with and everything is so dark and quiet.

I LOVE PEOPLE and I get along with other cats as well.  I am a HUGE MUSH – I will rub my head against your fist and love being cuddled.  I love to play – and just need the room and toys and person to play with me and make me feel special too.

I have had a difficult disappointing life already – and I am just 5 years old — is there room in your heart and home for me?   I assure you that you won’t be disappointed – I will leave paw prints on your heart forever!
