Hello!  I’m Pearl, a four-month old kitten!  Have you noticed my beautiful coloring?  Its pattern of orange, white and tabby-striped patches is what makes me a tabbico – a combination of tabby and calico.  Quite unique and very pretty, yes?  My earlier life was, I’m sad to say, very traumatic.  I was born in Far Rockaway, as the only kitten in my young mom’s litter.  She took such good care of me!  But then, as we were crossing a busy road as she searched for food, she was hit by a car and she died right there, leaving me all alone as the cars sped by.  Thankfully, someone noticed me, stopped, scooped me up and took me to a safe place.  That’s when my life began to be so much better!  I’ve spent some time with my Last Hope foster mom and now I’m here at PetSmart as I await the next…and best…part of my life – my forever home.  Despite the horrible events of my earlier kittenhood, I’m calm, friendly and sweet.  I love to be petted and to snuggle.  You might say I’m unique in this respect, too.  Why don’t you stop by and visit with me?  If you do, I’m sure you’ll want to make me the Pearl of your life!
