For their Bronze Award project, the girls in Troop 3355 from Farmingdale decided to help Last Hope, Inc. The girls created flyers listing items needed by Last Hope, and distributed them to their neighbors and relatives. The donations were then picked up by the girls at a later date. The donations consisted of pet food, bedding, toys, and other much-needed supplies. The girls also collected gently used clothing, games, and household items to be sold at a Last Hope fundraising flea market, and several of them attended a bowling event that was held to raise money for Last Hope.
The entire troop gave up two Saturdays this spring to help out at our new Last Hope Wantagh Adoption Center. They worked very hard, weeding, planting colorful annual flowers, and making the front of the building beautiful. While working on their project, the girls learned that through the efforts of all the volunteers of Last Hope, Inc. hundreds of animals are able to find loving homes each year.
Thank you Troop 3355 for doing such a wonderful job!
