Torta, just 6 months old, had an unfortunate accident that resulted in a broken femur. An expensive surgery was performed and now Torta is recovering with a foster family and awaiting physical therapy. We are grateful her leg was able to be saved but we need your help to pay for her care.

To help defer some of the costs of her surgery, we will be hosting a “Funds for Torta” Flea Market at our Wantagh Adoption Center on Sunday, October 23 from 11:oo am to 3:00 pm.

Volunteers are needed to help with set up, pricing and manning the tables. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Milda at milda178@verizon.net.

UPDATE ON TORTA: Our little girl is doing much better than expected after her surgery!  She’s using her leg and is not experiencing any pain.  Our Flea Market/Bake Sale was a huge success in raising funds for the surgery which has helped Torta so much!
