On December 16^th, Last Hope lost a dedicated and long time cat volunteer named Janet Palucci. Janet succumbed to cancer after a long and valiant fight.  Janet was active in our cat adoption center in Huntington as its volunteer coordinator for many years and assisted with some of our fundraisers. Up until her death, she helped with our endless filing and record keeping at home.  Last Hope extends its deepest sympathy to Janet’s family and friends.  She will be missed by all of us at Last Hope.

In remembrance of our fellow volunteer, we are taking up a collection so we can dedicate a cage at the Wantagh Adoption Center to Janet for her love and dedication to our rescue work. In memory of Janet, please donate to this memorial.  Please mark your check “In Memory of Janet Palucci” and mail it to:
