My name is ‘Abu’  and I was rescued from a dumpster behind a popular food chain on Long Island in August of 2013.  Sadly, I was left in a box with his brothers, ‘Jafar’ and ‘Aladdin’.  We all had bad eye infections and upper respiratory infections but my eye infection grew into an ulcer and ultimately burst.  Fortunately, I was already in the care of our trusted Veterinarian when it burst and she was able to perform emergency surgery on the eye, saving the eye and my eyesight.  I had a long recovery but it is fully healed and ready to go home!  My left eye does still have some scar tissue but it has no affect on my eyesight, does not cause me any pain and it will not develop into any problems in the future. I really am a sweet, loving boy who loves to play (ping pong balls are my favorite) and I love to cuddle and get belly rubs.  I will cuddle in with my favorite human for hours if you’d let him.
