Hi, Hi!! I’m Chiqui, a tiny Shepherd mix puppy with perhaps a touch of Chihuahua…baby teeth and all. My story is a sad one…you see I was found taped up in a box on Dead Dog Beach, a notorious dog dumping ground in Puerto Rico. Thankfully I was rescued, vetted and flown to the US by a rescue known as The Sato Project and now I’m at Last Hope waiting for a home. What I really am hoping for is a loving family who will appreciate me as a puppy and later, the dog I will become. Could that be you?? If so, stop on down we can meet – I don’t want to grow up in a cage…I want a family!!

Hello, hello!! I’m Destiny and as you can see I am a big-boned puppy! I’m about 7 months old and I’ve come from Bowling Green Shelter in KY along with a few of my friends. We are all looking for our forever homes and I’ve heard this is the place to be! My new friends here think I’m silly and affectionate, but I am ready to learn all about becoming the perfect companion dog so if that’s what you are looking for…look no more!!

Hi, thanks for stopping by for a visit…I’m Cupcake, a chubby, female Beagle about 2 years old from Bowling Green Shelter in KY. I made the trip to Last Hope with a few others in search of my forever home. I love people and other dogs and pretty much fancy myself as a lapdog…honestly, I am content to sit or stand on your lap for hours on end. Why not stop by so I can try out your lap…I’m sure I will fit just right!

Hi, I’m Ruby Red Dress…my friends call me Ruby. I’m a slim Foxhound from Amherst Humane in VA where I was found wandering the road in the rain. Workers there felt I was an abandoned hunting dog. I’m about 35 lbs, and around 3 years old and I get along well with other dogs. I came to Last Hope with two of my friends, Josie and Minty…road trip!! We are so excited to be here – our new friends are so nice and loving – something I so desperately want. Have you any love to spare, if so, well then I’m the dog for you!!

Hey there – I’m Ike - a 10 month old Australian Shepherd mix from Bowling Green Shelter in KY. I can be a little shy at first but I am very loving. I probably still have a little bit of growing to do as I’m still a pup. What’s all the fuss about?! My name is Glimmer and it seems that ever since I came here to PetSmart with my two siblings, we seem to be causing such a stir!! Is it just because of our good looks? Well, let me tell you what you don’t know about me, which is that I am also LOVELY and SWEET. I am a longhaired calico girl that was lucky to be rescued by Last Hope along with my siblings, Shimmer and Starlight. My sister, Shimmer and I are long haired kittens, so it is possible that all three of us may be Maine Coon mixes, but nobody really knows for sure. You see, our beginnings were rough. We were all rescued from out east on Long Island after we were found scrambling around in back of a restaurant searching for food. There were mean people seriously trying to get rid of us in a bad way, but a concerned citizen gave a call to Last Hope and they came to our aid. We were taken to the home of our foster mom for some loving and good care, to help make us into the social little purr babies we have become. I am still a little shy here in a busy store, but I love to be held and petted. Please stop by and see if one (or maybe two of us) will fit into your heart and home.

GORGEOUS and SUPER FRIENDLY!! Those are just two of the words that can be used to describe me, STARLIGHT, with the beautiful eyes, shiny black coat, and little white star twinkling on my chest. I am a male kitten here at PetSmart that was lucky to be rescued by Last Hope along with my sisters, Glimmer and Shimmer. They are long haired kittens, so it is possible we may all be Maine Coon mixes, but nobody really knows for sure. You see, our beginnings were rough. Hi, Hi!! I’m Minty Pie! I am one energetic and happy little pup and rightly so – I was rescued with a few of my friends, Ruby and Josie, from a shelter in VA. I’m 22 pounds of playfulness and am looking for that special someone to play with. I also like playing around other dogs and had fun with all my new friends so far. I’m only 2 years old, very affectionate and loving. You might notice my eye in my picture – they think I might be blind in my right eye as but believe me, I see just fine!!
