“Layla” is a little bewildered by the sudden changes in her life. This petite, brindle Cattle Dog/Heeler, about 5 years old, comes to Last Hope from Jessamine County in Kentucky where she was surrendered after her owner had a baby. She’s a bit shy and afraid, but then warms up to her new friends.

“Layla” needs reassurance. She is supposed to come from the same former Kentucky home as “Gracie” our Beagle (who arrived the week before “Layla”) but they didn’t seem to recognize each other upon reconciliation. We are looking for an adult home or a family without small children as the ideal placement for “Layla”.
