Hello!  I’m Onyx, a beautiful black 12-week old kitten who was named after the shiny black mineral which is used in jewelry!  My coat is as shiny and glistening as the real thing, and my foster says I’m a jewel of a kitten.  I was rescued in Dix Hills, where a vet tech found me all by myself….so scared and hungry.  Although she searched the entire area, she was unable to find my mom or my siblings.  That certainly was a lucky day for me, as my rescuer got me into the Last Hope program!  Soon, I went to the home of my foster mom, who took good care of me until I could come here to PetSmart, in search of my forever home.  Besides being beautiful, I’m an all-around sweet kitten who loves to be held and petted.  And, of course, like all kittens, I love to play!  How about stopping by to visit with me?!  If you do, I think you just might want to make me the jewel of your home!
