TOBY is a sweetheart, despite having a hard life. Our male Rottie/Pit mix is about 8 years old, and he’s never had a real home of his own. On Christmas Eve 2013 he was part of a rescue of 120 dogs by Guardians of Rescue. Olympic Animal Sanctuary in Washington State closed abruptly. The dogs were in neglected condition. The owner of the sanctuary loaded all the dogs onto a tractor trailer and was about to leave the country until Guardians intervened and convinced him to bring the dogs to Arizona where they would help build a temporary shelter. That shelter has closed now. About 10 of the original dogs including TOBY did not find a home out West so Guardians transported them to LI. Last Hope took in 2 of these poor Pits. CLARA had a short Last Hope stay because found a home quickly. We are hoping TOBY’s pleasant temperament is discovered soon too, so he can experience the joy of a real home.
Watch the youtube called “Guardians of Rescue: Former Olympic Animal Sanctuary Dogs” and you will see both CLARA & TOBY before and after.
I've found my forever home! Thank you!
