For the week after the “For Love of DINE-LI Small Business” Expo, the amount of the “Big Check” was kept secret while DINE-LI members calculated ticket, gift card raffle sales & expenses of their incredible 2/19 event at the Samanea Mall in Westbury.

On February 26th  founding members Alyssa Guidice, Susan Perna, Larry Kaye, Jackie Salazar-Roth and Teresa Guidice came to Last Hope with the “Big Check”, literally & figuratively, to reveal & present $12,000 to Last Hope.. Yes, $12,000. We were stunned!

A small team of incredibly organized volunteers put together this highly successful event with over 90 food & craft vendors and over 1,000 visitor tickets sold to 4 sessions.

Yes, DINE-LI members toured our Dog Adoption Center, and then shared stories about their own rescued dogs..

On the way home, they stopped at Old-Fashioned Ice Cream in West Babylon (1 of the vendors) to sample the new mint chip ice cream flavor named after Alyssa..Delicious!
