Last Hope Receives $11,000 Grant from Petco Love for Rescued Southern Dog

?Huge News! Last Hope Received an $11,000 Grant from Petco Love to Help Us Make a Greater Impact in Our Lifesaving Work Transporting Southern Shelter Dogs to Long Island.
Before BAILEE went to her new home, this scruffy Giant Schnauzer mix pup from a Kentucky shelter posed with the Big Check to announce Petco Love’s generous grant.
Petco Love (formerly known as the Petco Foundation) has invested more than $300 million in their rescue partners, including Last Hope, to support our efforts saving pets from death or suffering & placing them with people who truly want to adopt them.
In 2020, Last Hope transported 266 dogs in need from Kentucky, Virginia, Georgia & Texas to Long Island so we could ready them for adoption.
With our Petco Love grant, we will be able do more for and rescue more Southern dogs. For example, Last Hope treated 10 Southern dogs for heartworm last year. This year we can help more heartworm positive dogs.
BAILEE, an 8 month pup was spayed and transported to Last Hope last month. It didn’t take didn’t take long for her to find her FOREVER HOME.
Thanks to Petco Love, Last Hope will be able to rescue more Southern dogs like BAILEE as well as more dogs that need physical & emotional repair before going to their loving homes.
