“Rosie” – a 5 month old brindle Pit/Boxer puppy had a secret….she is so sweet, and so visually/olfactory attentive that it took us a little while to realize she is deaf…We first noticed when we had to gently shake her to wake her up from a nap for a walk…Bet she will be a great student for hand signal training…She did great at the pet fair and got along with all the dogs and people there. Two weeks ago Rosie was found as a stray in Roosevelt by kind folks at a diocesan office. She came to Last Hope after a stay at Hempstead Shelter. No one claimed her. Rosie needs a special home.
