How could a dog like this go unclaimed at a town shelter? Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), owner no-shows like this happen all the time.

“Mitzi” a Maltese mix stray about a year old comes to Last Hope from Babylon Town Shelter. She is probably a Maltese/Terrier cross and has a silly smile because of an under bite. She’s been easy-going and accepting from the moment she arrived. The kennel attendants and volunteers were able to clip her nails, cut her mats and bathe her right away with absolutely no fuss. “Mitzi” loves everyone and is fond of kids. She enjoys being carried around and will play dress up. “Mitzi” is just waiting for someone to fuss over her (forever).
