Can a dog be unlucky and lucky at the same time?
Well, tiny “Eva” a unique looking Terrier/Chihuahua is.
Tiny “Eva”, all 11 pounds of her, was hit by a car in Wyandanch on November 13th, and is recovering in a remarkable way. Luckily a volunteer was on the way to Babylon Shelter and saw it happen. She tried to stop traffic – (no one else stopped including the driver who hit “Eva”) – scoffed her up and called the shelter. “Eva” was in shock and was rushed to the ER…several sets of x-rays show no fractures…She has already improved tremendously and will continue to do so with cage rest interspersed with short walks. Again “Eva” was such a fortunate girl to come under the town shelter’s care.
This little cutie has an unusual black & tan patterning with tan speckles on her long whiskers that make her look like a butterfly. She is about 4 years old, and likes other dogs better through a fence than when she is on a leash. “Eva” is at Last Hope now where she will be showered by attention from our 243 Dog Center volunteers…but she is really looking for one special someone (or “someones”) to embrace her as their precious pet.
I've found my forever home! Thank you!
