“Belinda” -Last Hope’s newest Beagle hails from Babylon Town Shelter. This tri-coloredcutie pie, about 4 years old and 39 pounds, was an unclaimed stray found in Babylon Village. When the shelter got her, “Belinda” was in heat. Then the vet discovered a mammary mass. The animal hospital removed it during her spay. Belinda had a clear chest x-ray and her biopsy came back benign. This is great news…But routine blood work also determined that she haserlichiosis, a tick disease which is now being treated with antibiotics. Such an ordeal for a sweet, local girl! She deserves to be with people who will love and protect her from harm.
“Belinda’s” recent rescue name is a composite: The “Be” stands for “Beagle” and the “Linda” stands for the person responsible for Last Hope’s Beagle Mania. We are hoping that a kind Beagle-loving visitor will notice “Belinda” soon, really soon.
I've found my forever home! Thank you!
