“Pixie” an owner surrender from a Kentucky shelter is an interesting-looking dog. At 28 pounds and with a brindle back, she is a bit too small and not the right color to be a Canaan Dog, and a bit too big with a tail curl not tight enough to be a Basenji..(Canaan Dogs from Israel and Basenjis from Africa would be a rare finds in rural Kentucky.) “Pixie” is a youngster, only a year and a half old. She is supposed to be housebroken and good with other dogs. Come meet our unique gal at Last Hope in Wantagh.
