“Benji” has that Hollywood dog look….especially without his cone. Can’t you see him starring in a movie or even as a “Sandy” stand-in for the play “Annie” on Broadway? He reaches out to his fans that visit at Last Hope, so he has canine celeb potential.

This adorable scruffy Terrier mix came into Hempstead Town Shelter as an unclaimed stray before shuffling next door to Last Hope, right after being neutered. He’s between 2 and 3 years old, 29 pounds and quite photogenic. “Benji” looks similar to a PBGV. What’s that you ask? A PBGV is a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen.
