“Blackie” &“Bandit” were a special duo delivery by Brookhaven Town Shelter volunteers right to the Last Hope doorstep during the summer. Bandit has been adopted but Blackie still waits.
In July, the “Big Boys” were seized by the police because they were living in a bad situation and their former owner was hospitalized. Seems it was some sort of hoarder predicament but not an animal hoarder case.“Blackie” is a Lab/Shepherd mix with floppy ears, about 7 years old. He is a nice fellow who prefers not to be with other dogs, but can be placed with kids
