BRANDY is on the Road to “Happily Ever After “.

She has come a long way already both literally & figuratively..after a terrible neglected life in Kentucky..

But she is yet to find a Loving Forever Home.
That is our Promise to BRANDY now that she is at Last Hope on Long Island.

Here is her sad KY story from Jackie Matthews pres of STAR in Rowan Co:

“We would like you to meet a sweet, loving, golden colored dog who had been entrusted to STAR’s care.

She was originally found wandering from home to home searching for food.

She only weighed about 20 pounds, and had lost most of her hair.

She was covered with fleas and sores when we took her in. [Most likely flea dermatitis and perhaps demodex too.]

Although frightened, starving, and in pain due to skin issues, she quietly allowed us to bathe her and give her a shot & medicine.

She was so grateful to be given some food, a fresh bowl of water and a nice soft bed!

We at STAR saw this girl for the dog she would become with some TLC-a “perfect” one.

She is about 2 years old and weighs about 35-40 pounds now.

She is a gentle, loving, girl who is good with other dogs and cats.

Now that she is in good health,
her coat is thick and her face is happy!

She needs a forever home where she will learn what it feels like to be cherished by her Own Family! “
