“Brownie” is a special soul. This sweet young Whippet-looking fellow is really a Mountain Cur, a “regional” breed common in rural states. Last fall he turned up on a Kentucky roadside as a stray. It took several weeks for the local folks to win his trust so they could catch him.
He was petrified in the pound but gradually blossomed in a KY foster home on an 80 acre farm where since October he learned to trust and love people, and to adore playing with other dogs.
“Brownie” is slim and active, about a year old and 35 pounds. He has a docked tail, also commonly done to Mountain Curs shortly after birth. At Last Hope he is gaining confidence and learning to walk on a leash. He enjoys all the loving attention from our many volunteers. “Brownie” has already been to Petco as an adoption ambassadog…and will make a wonderful addition to a pet-loving family.
I've found my forever home! Thank you!
