“Clare” is the Miss Congeniality of Beagles…an absolute sweetheart, but from an area where her breed and other hunting hounds are often discarded. It’s hard to believe that this tiny treasure (only 20 lbs) was found tied to a post outside a Kentucky shelter…Her tail is always wagging. She gets along with other dogs and loves people.

“Clare” and 4 other dogs were flown from Kentucky to Last Hope on Long Island  by volunteer pilots who give of their time, skills and aircraft to save dogs in shelters where there is no chance of them being adopted or leaving alive.

Her paperwork age estimate from Kentucky lists her as a senior but we disagree and feel she is a middle-aged dog. Perhaps five years old. She would make a wonderful addition to a family.
