“Dustin” came to Last Hope in February as part of a Beagle transport from a crowded Kentucky Shelter. There was no advance word about his eye injury. Seems this 1 year old Beagle had suffered an unknown trauma which damaged one of his eyes. Our veterinarian recommended removing the injured eye. He is a trooper and did well in surgery. Dustin looks as he is perpetually winking “Hello” to you.

Dustin is a friendly fellow who plays well with other dogs, but can be a little pushy at times. He should fit well with another dog or dogs as long as they are OK with “Mr. D” sometimes being the boss. He has a lot of love to give, and deserves a doting home after all he has been through.
