“Heidi” is a tiny treasure. This 12 pound Chihuahua/Doxie mix about 5 years old comes to Last Hope from shelter in a Kentucky county where the constant dog intake is astronomical. The dogs must stay in communal pens because of the overcrowding, and must move out fast ( or die) to make room for the never ending canine influx.
She came in as a stray who got along well with 3 other dogs in her pen. The local Kentucky rescue, a small group of over-worked miracle maker volunteers, placed her in one of their precious foster homes where she won the hearts of her temporary family. Then she became the “favorite” and co-pilot of the drivers of her recent transport to the Northeast.
“Heidi” loves to be loved, and readily returns all affection shown her. She is looking for a home where this tiny treasure will be treasured forever.
I've found my forever home! Thank you!
