A person witnessed Maverick being kicked and abused by some people in a town where cat cruelty happens almost daily. The person stood up to them and took Maverick, brought him to Last Hope where he was checked out medically. The abuse did damage his left eye, which required surgery, but he has his vision. Placed with a wonderful foster family, he learned to overcome some of his fear of people. Now at the adoption center, Maverick still shows fear when someone approaches him. Once Maverick feels he can trust you, this amazing, gentle and loving kitty will snuggle in your arms and purr himself to sleep. Maverick is a male born 12/29/2011. This wonderful boy needs a super safe, loving FOREVER home where he will never know abuse or pain again.
