What’s that, you ask? She became a surrogate kitten of a purebred Sealpoint Mom, nursing alongside the Sealpoint’s 6 half-Siamese babies.

Soon after, Bonnie’s friends found MERCEDES as a bottle baby , screaming in their Central Islip backyard. She was added to the 50% Siamese litter, and nursing Mom accepted her with no problem.
Oddly, MERCEDES became the most vocal baby of the 7. Siamese cats-and 3 of these babies looked Siamese- tend to be vocal. But the natural babies weren’t, only MERCEDES the orphan had a Siamese song to sing.
Now 3 months old at Last Hope, MERCEDES is waiting patiently for a home along with her “sister” TOYOTA, also a tabby.
MERECEDES stopped singing…instead she waits patiently at the front of her cage. She reaches out her paw to touch visitors gently. She recently moved to Petco Syosset.

To meet MERCEDES by appointment, please complete and submit a cat adoption application found on the Last Hope website homepage.

I've found my forever home! Thank you!
