Hello – I’m Mona Lisa named for my enigmatic, painted-on half smile. See it?

I was found as a stray pup in Wyandanch last March and spent 8 months in the town shelter where I grew up before coming to Last Hope at the end of November. I’m a puzzling mix…I look a little Pittie, but I have a Jack Russell ear set and my hair texture is that of a Beagle…What a mix!!! I’m about 40 lbs,  and have played very well with dogs similar in age and size…especially “Satch”  who is my new best buddy at Last Hope. I can be a little timid with new people at first, especially men, but I warm up after a few minutes, and eventually fall in love. I really want a family to call my own – maybe that’s you???
