Moving
There are plenty of rentals on Long Island and nationwide that allow renters to have cats so when looking for a new place to live, do not even consider looking at an apartment or house rental unless cats are allowed. You may have to pay a deposit for each cat in case the cat damages anything in the rental.
Moving to other states and countries is possible. Cats travel well and airlines will permit you to bring them on board with you in a carrier for a fee. Check with the airline for their pet policy. Appropriate health certificates are required.
