NINA, a gorgeous, blue-eyed Shepherd mix is finally ready for prime time & a home of her own. Our miracle dog, practically a puppy herself, has gone through so much trauma since Nov. 2016 first rescued after hit by a car and dragged into a lot, presumed to be dead.
Just look at how far NINA’S traveled over the last months to get to this moment:
*Hit by a car in Wyandanch a night before Thanksgiving.
* Presumed dead, dragged into the woods. Spent the cold evening in shock.
* Discovered to be alive when Babylon Shelter comes to claim her body.
* Rushed by shelter to NY Veterinary Specialists in Farmingdale.
* Full x-rays, treated for shock & exposure.
* Touch & go..vets consider euthanasia .
* Goes to Babylon Shelter with neurological deficit in front leg & bladder.
* Tests heartworm positive there.
* Moved to Last Hope.
* Goes home with FABULOUS foster family.
* Shows great dog manners in foster care. She had to be an unclaimed pet.
* Undergoes heartworm treatment .
* Goes back to vet to determine when it is safe to be spayed.
* Vet realizes Nina is pregnant.
* Sono confirms many pups, far along.
* Whelps 6 healthy puppies on 1/15/17.
* Great Mom to her litter for next 8 weeks.
* All 6 puppies adopted by mid March.
* NINA spayed on 3/3/17….still in foster care waiting for her FOREVER home. She needs a yard with a fence at least 6 feet high.
I've found my forever home! Thank you!
