“Sebastian” is a little over a year old and has already had a difficult journey in life.

This comical looking fellow appears to be a Black & Tan Coonhound fitted on a Basset frame.

As a 5 month old puppy, Sebastian was found in North Carolina chained on abandoned rental property. He was vetted and fostered by a local rescue person where he got along with her 5 other dogs. (In typical Hound dog fashion, he barks at cats.)

In January at 7 months old he came up North on a transport with other NC shelter pups and was placed with a LI family who signed an adoption contract. Unknown to his rescuers, that family gave him away. It is still unclear how many times he changed hands but Sebastian’s last family was about to abandon him when a kind soul stepped in. That family has since replaced him with a Chihuahua. In the mean time Sebastian spent several months in a boarding kennel.

Sebastian is such a lovable dog, who craves attention and stability. He is looking for a forever home where he will be appreciated, trained and cherished. He is very willing to learn.
