“Shara” a 5 year old Feist mix, now 33 lbs., is part of the same Kentucky court case as Last Hope’s “Pork Chop”. There is a chance that the 2 dogs are related. In May 2012 thirteen dogs were seized from a KY yard. The owner had abandoned them and left them in the care of his 91 year old father. The elderly man had run out of food and money, so the dogs were left on 3 foot chains to starve. Several were locked in a barn stall. Two of the dogs died- one from starvation; the other from heat stroke.
“Shara” was fostered for rescue in KY where she got along with other dogs, even though she seems to bark at some dogs from a distance at the Last Hope Dog Center. “Shara” is very sociable with people…seems to smile and glow when given attention.She loves belly rubs..She can’t believe that most folks can be so nice, after surviving under such cruel circumstances…All she needs now is a forever home so her happy ending can be complete.
