Sweet as her name, Sugar is a young Beagle who came to Last Hope on Long Island from a Kentucky shelter as part of a Pilots n’ Paws airlift. She was most likely a discarded kennel or hunting dog. Sugar is a doll but shy, and needs some reassurance because many happy experiences are new to her. She is appreciative of all the attention she is receiving from the Last Hope volunteers, most likely the first people who were ever nice to her.
