“Sugar” is a doll of a dog who came to Last Hope as a stray from a Kentucky shelter. She is young, 42 pounds and began her treatment for heartworm while still in Kentucky. (The vets there shaved 2 large patches on a dog’s back on either side of the spine for the injection of immiticide.)
“Sugar” is a small chocolate Lab mix with a Shepherd textured coat. Once her heartworm treatment is done, this sweetie has the makings of a lovely family dog.
