Hi I am Clara – a 3 year old calico-torte mix.  So many people say my colors are unusual and I am  beautiful – Yet I sit in a cage month after month waiting for someone to consider me as part of their family and love me.

My mom and dad were killed in a car accident – so the older children turned us into the local shelter.  It was so overcrowded and packed with younger kittens too – I knew my days were numbered.  Last Hope rescued me and I was medically cleared and am up to date on worming, vaccinations and I was spayed prior to being rescued by Last Hope.

I love to lay on my back and curl in a ball and get belly rubs and then love when you go slowly all around my neck too. I am very chatty – I tell you “thank you” or if just passing by – I meow so you will stop and pay attention to me.

I was in the free roaming room at Last Hope Center – I do get along with other cats – some more than others.  Of course many that I befriended then got adopted and I now had to start out making a friend again.

I get a little nervous at first when taken out – as the cage has become my safety comfort zone – and of course I love my cushy bed. Haven’t been in a bed like that since I was turned into the shelter – so I don’t want to leave it – it helps me relax as I watch the birds and fish.

I really WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!  The changes are good that I was in the Town Shelter last year for Christmas – So this would be a second one.  I want to play and roll around and celebrate it all with my new loving family.
