“Susie’s” saga is unbelievable but true.
This adorable Shepherd/Basset pup, less than a year old, comes to Last Hope from a Kentucky shelter with a bad leg. She was hit by a car as a younger puppy, and a front elbow was injured. Her former owners did get x-rays and were told she needed cage rest. Cage rest became being kept on a 3 foot chain outdoors during that recovery period. Her leg healed incorrectly on its own…
Then they surrendered her to their Kentucky shelter.
“Susie” will be seeing our vets now for a course of action. In the meantime, “Susie” deserves a loving foster or forever home while we are ascertaining what can be done to help her mobility.
I've found my forever home! Thank you!
