With sadness we report Last Hope alumnus “Scooby” has left us for the Rainbow Bridge on 10/14/15.

Our thoughts and sympathy go out Last Hope volunteer, Christina Costa, who adopted “Scooby” when we had our Lindenhurst Dog Center. They were devoted friends, and “Scooby”, about 11 years young, fought a valiant 2 month battle with a very formidable canine foe- cardiac hemangiosarcoma..(tumor on the heart).

Christina cherished him so: “Scooby passed away yesterday. He fought hard these last couple of months. He was a member of our family, our baby. Thank goodness for the friends and family we have to help us through this. And thank you all for your support and kind words over the last few months. It means a lot. God blessed us with the time we had with him. And knowing we gave him such a good life is helping us cope with the loss. RIP my love, my heart, my Scooby Doo.”
