Last Hope Animal Rescue is quite fortunate our donated items for the Thrift Shop continue to exceed the size of our old space, and precipitated our “Great Dane-size” space so we can display all our saleable items in a visible, movable and safe way..
Our new shop has more than double our old square footage of the first shop we were at 3.5 years. We have 24 feet of jewelry cases. Now our customers & volunteers to be able to tap dance while their magic happens-
** Unwanted Items Sell as Cherished Possessions where all Profits turn into Goods & Services for our Homeless Dogs & Cats.**
The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
The current shop -310 New York Avenue- is on the same side of the street as former store, about 2 blocks south, closer to Main Street, set back slightly, next to FETCH Dog Grooming, and between Sedoni Gallery and Sur Argentinian Steak House, “catty” corner across the street from the empty Book Revue.
There is metered parking on New York Avenue and plenty of FREE parking across the street near the corner of Gerard Street in the village lot that starts at Gerard Street in front of FourLeaf Bank and extends north to the Thai restaurant.
The official name of the new shop is “Last Hope Animal Rescue Thrift & Treasure Shop”.

Last Hope was “born” in Huntington in 1981, rescued death-due dogs from Huntington Town Shelter and had several thrift shop/secret animal shelters in Huntington back then.
We are thrilled that Last Hope Animal Rescue will continue to shine in Huntington.
