Last Hope received a $10,000 Veterinary Assistance Grant from the Banfield Foundation which enables us to contribute to the medical needs of dogs & cats belonging to people facing financial hardships.
Support from this generous Banfield Foundation gift can help people keep their pets when medical expenses are beyond their means.
Too often owners who cannot afford veterinary surgery are forced to watch their pet suffer, surrender or euthanize a beloved pet.
Last Hope is allowed to use up to $600 of grant funds toward a pet’s medical expenses.
Sometimes $600 is enough to cover the whole procedure for a dog or cat…
… like PRINCESS a 9 yr old Chihuahua mix from Roosevelt who needed inginual hernia repair & a growth removed from her front paw.
Depending on the diagnosis, surgery as early intervention can be the difference between life or death for a pet.
PRINCESS, a beloved dog, had both surgeries & recovered nicely. Her family had been so worried about her well-being .
Last Hope is so grateful to the Banfield Foundation for giving us the means to help pet owners in need of assistance.
Keeping people & pets together is an integral part of Last Hope’s rescue mission.
