In 2018, Last Hope adopted a younger, thinner version of CANDY to a young couple.
Fast Forward to a week ago.. Last Hope got a call from another LI rescue that a woman had surrendered a dog to them, but handed them the dog’s Last Hope paperwork too.
This dog was CANDY. It seems the couple has had issues with personal & legal problems. CANDY had been in the custody of the woman’s mother who was now moving out of state and couldn’t keep CANDY any longer.
CANDY is a happy girl- full of fun. She wants to enjoy life to the fullest in a loving, forever home. And we are working on her Weight Watchers regimen.
