Cubby – ADOPTED!

Hi – I am Cubby – dark brown/black handsome cuddly lovable 5 1/2 month old gentle boy!

Thank you for visiting me.  Although I am still so young, it has been a bit rough already! I have an identical brother, Ted (who was adopted on January 22) , and this is our story. When we were about 4 weeks old we were left in a box outside of one of the town shelters.  Being we were so little and so light – we are lucky the box didn’t blow away – we would have never been found. It was getting cold out – actually it rained the night we were dumped – so our box was wet when it was discovered.  The shelter had to take us at that point – but they separated us – we went into our own little tiny stainless steel cage – no bed, no toys and no one to cuddle.  We were babies!

Last Hope went to the shelter to rescue a few of the wonderful friendly cats that were at the shelter for a long time – whose fate were inevitable.   They saw us each sitting in our cage meowing for attention. Why we couldn’t be together in the cage at the shelter no one understands.  At least we would have had each other to play with and cuddle with.

So Last Hope rescued us – and took care of all our kitten needs.  We were tested, wormed, neutered, vaccinated and are medically in perfect shape.   They also gave us lots and lots of hugs and let us be together and after a few days of seeing how loving and friendly we were, they let us out to play and run with other cats in their cat center.   We heard that we even helped some of the other cats come out of their shell and they started to play as well.  But to have a better chance of being seen and being adopted – we were moved here.

Tallulah (the tabby in here with me) was in the cage next to us at the cat center.  All of her siblings were adopted – and she was lonely.   She is so much fun – so we all became best buddies.  My brother was just adopted from here – and I hope my time is very soon too!

Of course, I would love to be adopted with Tallulah – we are loving and cuddly and fun – but if not, we know that each of us will get a wonderful home – and so that’s okay too.  It happens in the best of families…siblings have to go their own way to be happy.

We play and watch the fish and birds and get lots of visitors – but we are spending our kittenhood in a cage – and need to run and play and love and be loved and be safe with a loving warm family in their home.

So – can I (or we) be your date for Valentine’s Day — ??  I won’t take up much room in your home – but I will take up lots of room in your heart – leaving paw prints on it forever!

PURR-fectly yours,

Cubby
