Finley – ADOPTED!

Hi – Thank you for visiting me – My name is Finley & I am about 5 years old!

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY HOPE SOMEONE WONDERFUL ADOPTS ME REALLY REALLY SOON – I NEED A LOVING FAMILY DESPERATELY – I AM GETTING REALLY REALLY SAD!

When someone from Last Hope came to feed a feral colony in Port Washington – I practically jumped in her arms to help me…I wouldn’t leave her alone – so she picked me up and took me home. You see, I had a collar on (with no tag) – so I was a housecat who was probably dumped in the feral colony when my family moved or didn’t want me anymore. They assumed I would be okay there – NO – I wasn’t okay. I am not a feral cat – and feral colonies don’t accept “guests” – so they wouldn’t let me have any of their food and kept beating me up when I tried to get some of it. So all I did was hide – I didn’t know what to do.

So the lady who rescued me fostered me for a while, I ate, ate and ate again and got warm and felt much better. Then I was medically checked out and am great – I was previously neutered – so they wormed and vaccinated me and on top of that gave me LOTS of love. I am now in the Last Hope adoption program – and am looking for someone who wants a very mellow gentle man – not an ounce of aggression in me – who just LOVES to be pet and combed and talked too – and wants to be secure and loved and safe in a home. You can pick me up – and kiss me and kiss me – boy – I would welcome that! I do get along with other pets – just not too many – I think I really got spooked by the feral colony and am afraid with tons of other pets I will be attacked.

Everyone says I am handsome – but they pass me by….sure those younger jumpy kittens win hands down every time. With me, what you see is what you get — a gentle buddy. I am not an old man – I have many years of life to enjoy yet – I hope not in a cage. Yes it is warm and safe and I get fed – but it isn’t fun and

I wait for hours and hours a day for a few minutes of hugging from our Last Hope volunteers who take care of our needs.

Can we stay warm together these dull boring winter months – Can I be your Valentine???

PURR-fectly yours,

Finley
