Help Last Hope Fix Stella’s Helluva Legs
Imagine being a two month old orphan tabby with two broken legs.
That was Stella’s predicament when she was discovered two weeks ago outside Estelle’s dress shop in Farmingdale.
A volunteer got a call that a kitten was struggling to walk in the parking lot, apparently hit by a car. The tabby needed assistance immediately.
Our volunteer rushed over to retrieve the kitten and brought her home. She called Last Hope for help .
The next day, the kitten, now named Stella, went to one of our veterinarians who discovered she had two limb fractures on the left side -in her front and rear legs.
We arranged a consult with an orthopedic surgeon. Stella is receiving pain killers while waiting for repair.
Stella, our baby kitten, needs surgery to stabilize her rear hind leg with a pin. Her front leg will be observed for a few months to see if it heals on its own.
Surgery for the front is scheduled, but will cost us a pretty penny ( aka ” several thousand dollars”).
We are asking everyone to dig deep in their pockets and contribute a small or large amount to defray the cost of Stella’s surgery.
Together, we can fix Stella’s helluva legs so she can walk and play like other kittens do.
