MATILDA- female Lab/Hound-needs a Foster-to-Adopt Home

MATILDA needs a new Home for a sad reason. She was recently returned to Last Hope because her adopter was diagnosed with a serious illness.
Miss MATILDA came to Last Hope in Nov on a Georgia transport because a young couple with a newborn surrendered her because with the baby, their apartment was too small for an energetic pup.
MATILDA is close to 2 yr old now & about 50 lbs. She doesn’t understand why she is back at our Adoption Center. We hope she doesn’t stay long.
When she came back to Last Hope, MATILDA tested Heartworm Positive and now needs to undergo heartworm treatment. It is possible she was tested too soon to detect her heartworm status when she first arrived at Last Hope.
She is an active Lab/Hound who fits well into a family…but she would do best in a low key family because she has to calm during her heartworm treatment.
To meet MATILDA by appointment at Last Hope, please complete and submit a dog adoption application found on the Last Hope website homepage.
