Dogs don’t come any cuter or sweeter than “Cotton”… We can only imagine how difficult his first few years were in a puppy mill, but Cotton is not holding any grudges against the human race. He loves everyone he meets at Last Hope, and he will love you.

This Maltese about 4 years old came to a shelter in Bowling Green, Kentucky from a puppy mill in a neighboring county, most likely abandoned because he was “damaged merchandise”.  He arrived with an eye that was about to rupture. It was in very bad shape, and there was no way to save it, so the shelter had his eye surgically removed.

Cotton’s surgery was in mid-April. He has recovered well, and is a bouncy, happy boy, only about 12 pounds. He will a perpetual wink which adds to how adorable this brave boy is.
