We are going to “whistle Dixie” until someone notices our petite Beagle “Dixie” and wants to adopt her.
“Dixie” is less than 16 pounds, cute as can be. She and her brother “Sunny”, both 5, were owner surrenders at a Kentucky shelter. (“Sunny” was adopted quickly.) “Dixie” has expressive eyes, and appears to have had a few litters. She is frightened in new settings, a bit shy,  but is gentle as can be.  She likes other dogs, and would do well in a home with another Beagle or possibly other breed to help give her confidence. “Dixie” is good with iids as long as the kids are calm around her. It’s time for her to become a Beagle her people will cherish.
