Last Hope Pups on News 12 Long Island “Dog Day Fridays”

The Last Hope pup trio LOVED being guests June 26th on LI News 12 “Dog Day Fridays”. “Sophia”, “Timmy” and “Murphy” displayed impeccable manners, and made friends with the News 12 staff. They didn’t mind getting up at 5:30am for their “15 minutes of fame” (actually 3 hours at the studio).

Soon as we got back to Last Hope, there was a phone call of interest about “Sophia”. By the end of Friday, “Sophia” & “Timmy” had adoption applications. “Sophia” was adopted by this lovely family. “Murphy” is quite hopeful he’ll be next. In the meantime he showed off his Beagle talent of sniffing out bagels and hot dog chunks. He missed his calling as a “Salami Beagle” for the FDA at airports.

Many thanks to the News 12 Long Island staff, particularly Dog Day Fridays newscaster Elisa DiStefano, producer Mark Ambrico and cameraman Anthony for inviting Last Hope and making us feel so welcome. Mucho gratias too to the wonderful Last Hope volunteers who escorted our dogs without the luxury of a full night’s sleep. Below is the link to extended coverage of the Last Hope visit.
